When creating my lesson examples I have particularly struggled with wording the objectives. While I am clear in my head about what I want the young people to have learnt by the end of the lesson, I am aware that I need to make sure that I have included lower and higher order thinking skills. Therefore, I have been reading about Bloom’s Taxonomy (Dymoke 2013 pp.64-66) and this has helped me to structure my learning objectives and, to present different levels of thinking throughout the lesson from ‘understanding’ to being able to ‘evaluate’.
